The Extension IGT is a two-unit expandable Iron Grill Table. The table has a minimalistic design that does not require any connection tools or extension pieces. The Extension IGT features two laminated bamboo tabletops and an aluminum alloy stand. To use, slide each side of the bamboo to their respective opposite sides and insert a stove in the middle. Pair the Extension IGT with the Double Burner Stove for a complete cooking set-up.

This is a precision made, high quality piece that works well as a base camp table or as a cooking table. We use it with a pair of Baja burners and it works perfectly. The stainless guards do fine protecting the wooden edges and they are conveniently stored, once we figured out that they stow in side pockets of the carrying case. The bamboo will probably hold up fine in the elements but just to be sure we cover the table when left out overnight. This is a really well made and versatile piece of gear.

Versatile IGT but bad material

This is the most versatile IGT that gives you dining and tea time option because of its expandable sides. However, the wood protector or guard that comes with the unit has a bad quality. The middle part of my IGT is already BURNED! It looks like there was a fire. I was using the grill with the protectors. However, the protectors do not prevent heat burning the middle side pieces of the IGT. Very disappointing after only two time use.

Q: Could I put a CK-126TR, "IGT Bamboo Wide Insert" in this and make a larger table with the "Extension IGT"?
Also the description mentions "Wood Guard x 2". I do not see these in the pictures. Could you please clarify.

A: Hi John,

Thanks for your question!

The center space of the Extension IGT does not sit flush with the two panels of bamboo, so while you could place the Bamboo Wide Insert in the center space, it would not form a larger table as it would not sit flush with the rest of the table. The wood guards are two pieces of stainless steel that are used to protect the bamboo panels from the stoves, these can be seen in the pictures showing the stoves.
