5 Creative Ways to Connect with Loved Ones

While the holidays may look different this year, there are still ample opportunities to create meaningful connections with loved ones this season. We’ve gathered a few ideas to hopefully inspire creativity and festivity through the last moments of the year.

Contactless Cookie Exchange

Here’s some good news: cookies aren’t canceled. Partner with friends or family for a contactless exchange. Make your preferred treat and individually package for added safety. Organize a porch drop-off, then hop onto Zoom and rate your favorites.

Physically Distanced & Masked Walks

We’re all suffering from screen overload this year. Prioritizing fresh air and a bit of time in nature can work wonders for our spirits. Bundle up, bring a hot drink in an insulated bottle and take a stroll through the park or neighborhood with a loved one.

Take A Tradition Virtual

Come together with your family or loved ones and select a special tradition that can be reimagined virtually. Be it a New Year's Eve toast, a favorite game or puzzle, or an annual holiday movie night, focusing your energy on one tradition instead of all of them can help you create a special moment while avoiding Zoom fatigue. If you haven't already, enjoy one of our complimentary backgrounds with a variety of soothing outdoor scenes.

Volunteer

Join with friends or family and commit to helping others this season.  Whether you collect food from loved ones to donate or choose a cause to support virtually, giving back is more important than ever.

Trade Recipes

If you live far from your family and are missing a taste of home, ask relatives to share their classic holiday recipes that define the seasonal gatherings you’re used to. It’s your chance to finally get your hands on Grandmas secret cinnamon roll recipe
