The Insect Shield Mesh Pants are treated with durable Insect Shield technology that helps repel insects and prevent them from entering the garment. Originally adopted by the U.S. Army, this treatment maintains its effectiveness even after repeated washing. The pants feature a hybrid construction that combines breathable punched mesh with distinctive Taslan ripstop fabric, creating a lightweight material designed for use across multiple seasons.
Inspired by Royal Navy combat pants, the design incorporates reinforced ripstop fabric on the front and back upper sections and pockets to increase durability in high-friction areas. The pants feature six pockets in total, including gusseted cargo pockets at the sides, easily accessible waist pockets, and rear pockets with button closures. The hems are finished with elastic spindles for adjustable shaping and a customizable fit.
