Exploring Noasobi: The Art of Being Outside

There’s never been a better time to return to nature. Buzzing phones, mind-numbing algorithms, and the proliferation of AI junk are eroding our sense of being, creativity and connection with each other.

Snow Peak’s origins are rooted in the aftermath of WWII, when our founder turned to the mountains to reconnect with nature and find healing. For 65 we’ve carried Yukio’s vision forward, creating outdoor moments that restore our humanity.Any brand that’s more than a half-century old undergoes many evolutions, and Snow Peak is no different. Yet, from our earliest days to our most recent product release, we’ve remained committed to sharing the inner calm that nature offers us all.

We believe our ethos of Noasobi offers a cure to much of what ails us. Directly translating to “wild play,”Noasobi is the simple joy of being outside—playing, experiencing, and connecting with nature. It’s about slowing down, being in the moment with others, and finding peace. As we enter 2026, Noasobi is our north star, and each season we’ll explore a different perspective on the Art of Being Outside.

Throughout this winter, we’ll immerse ourselves in the Art of Rest. We follow nature’s lead as it settles in for its seasonal sleep. Our outdoor experiences in the winter months center on cozy leisure, peaceful moments of togetherness and a slower pace. As nature regenerates its energy for the seasons to come, we do the same.

Our story follows a family spending a weekend in the woods of Camp Sherman, Oregon in midwinter. Each member of the family – canine included – experiences the peaceful delight of the bright, crisp winter sun. They share restful moments cozied up in their tent before easing into the day with pancakes and coffee. Naps, quiet sunny walks, fetch and reading fill their day. The evening ends with shared time around a blazing campfire. Take inspiration from their perspectives and explore new ways to immerse yourself in nature’s restful season.
