Hand-Woven Cotton Silk Shirt
Constructed of ultra-soft, delicate silk fibers, the Hand-Woven Cotton Silk Shirt is finished using an ancient Japanese ink dying process. The ink, also used in traditional calligraphy, is created by kneading soot and glue with the density adjusted to the desired levels. The Hand-Woven Cotton Silk Shirt features a stand collar, half-buttondown with a single exposed button, dual breast pockets, short sleeves, boxy torso, and a straight hem. Pair with the Hand-woven Cotton Silk Skirt for a complete look.
The Hand-Woven Cotton Silk Shirt is designed to float from the body for a slightly loose drape, with the hem hitting at the hip. We suggest taking your normal size for a slightly oversized fit.
The Yamai series is designed in small batches using ancient, natural fabric construction and dye techniques. The collection celebrates traditional craftsmanship while deepening the relationship between the garment and the wearer, creating a bridge to the natural world.
