Our History

Snow Peak Way brings staff and customers together for a weekend of camping and community. First held in Japan in the 1990s, the event changed the trajectory of the brand by creating deeper direct connections with customers. Today, the global Snow Peak community gathers multiple times throughout the year, with campouts in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Attendees enjoy camping workshops and activities, Takibi Time, and opportunities to share feedback and ideas with the brand’s staff. Snow Peak Way is the pinnacle of our community-based camping approach, and we look forward to camping with customers in Pennsylvania, Washington, and California in 2026.

Snow Peak Way FAQ

  • What is so special about Snow Peak Way?

Snow Peak Way is an intimate camping festival fostering deep connections between Snow Peak staff and customers. Originating in Japan in the 1990s, it has expanded globally, embodying the “Snow Peak Style”—a slower, nature-focused camping culture centered on gathering, food, and quality gear.

  • Are children allowed at Snow Peak Way?

Yes! Campers of all ages are encouraged to attend this family-friendly event! Children 3 years of age and under do not count toward site limits.

  • How are Tickets released?

We have several releases of reserved tickets to several loyalty tiers prior to a public release. Please learn more here.

  • Are tickets per-person or group sites?

Snow Peak Way New York has a per-person ticket structure, while the other events are group tickets.

  • Are pets allowed?

Yes! We welcome your “furry companions” but ask that they remain on a leash.

  • Are the campsites reserved or are they “first-come, first-served"?

The purchase of Snow Peak Way tickets guarantees a campsite. And, yes, campsites are first-come, first-served. However, please know that a tent is not included in the pricing – you will need to bring your own Snow Peak-branded tent or rent one.

  • Tell me more about the bathroom and shower amenities at Snow Peak Way.

Facilities vary by location. Snow Peak Campfield and Big Sur have bathroom and shower buildings. Our event in New York will have portable toilets and a shower trailer.

  • Will there be water onsite?

Yes, we will provide potable water for drinking, cooking, and cleanup. Snow Peak staff will provide centralized areas (i.e. a dish-washing station) in which to clean pots and pans.

  • Can I park at my campsite?

We do not have vehicle camping sites at Snow Peak Way NY, WA, or CA.

  • Can I bring non-Snow Peak items to Snow Peak Way?

We kindly ask that all campers bring or rent a Snow Peak-branded tent. Beyond that, campers are welcome to bring their personal camping gear to build the rest of their campsite. (SPW West and Central)

These are the tents available for rent during Snow Peak Way. Please reserve them in advance (more details to come!):

    • Amenity Dome M

  • Are my tickets refundable?

In the instance where you are unable to attend Snow Peak Way, we are happy to offer a full refund 14 days prior to the event. If, however, you are unable to attend the event after this date, we will not be able to refund you.
