Snow Peak x Tanner Goods Carry-on Chopstick Set
A meeting of Japanese tradition and American craftsmanship, this collaborative case for our popular Carry-On Chopsticks was hand-crafted by our friends at Tanner Goods in their Portland, Oregon workshop. The case is made from world-famous Horween Chromexcel, which will age beautifully as you use your collapsable bamboo and stainless-steel chopsticks for years to come.
- Combines a square stainless steel tube, elegant bamboo, and USA made leather case that results in a non-disposible all purpose utensil that you will own for a lifetime.
- Take-apart design features threaded brass fittings between the wood tip and handle.
- Removable brass end-plugs allow the wooden tips to slip inside the hollow handles for storage.
- Attach the tips to the brass ends to avoid rattling wear and tear.
Use and Care
Chopsticks: Hand Wash your chopsticks using non-bleach dish soap. Thoroughly dry before stowing away.
Leather (by Tanner Goods): We have specifically chosen leathers that age beautifully over time, and little care is needed. If you would like to condition your English Bridle or Natural Strap leather to re-hydrate it or to jump-start the darkening and softening process, we recommend Neatsfoot Oil or Obenauf’s – a little goes a long way. For Chromexcel leather products, we recommend simply rubbing the leather with a soft cloth or rag to bring out its sheen and to diminish any small scuffs that develop. Chromexcel may exhibit a waxy finish after sitting in transit; this is a natural trait of the specific tanning process, and can easily be dealt with by gently burnishing the item with a cloth.
